Izere Mubyeyi Organization “Nawe ni umwana”, “He is also a child”, “Lui aussi est un enfant”.
Izere Mubyeyi is a non-governmental organization founded in November 2004. It is
legally recognized by the Government of Rwanda (Ministerial Decree no 39/11 of April 02, 2008) and registered by RGB since February 17, 2014.
Its office is located in Busanza, Bitare village, Karama cell, Kanombe Sector, Kicukiro District, Kigali City, RWANDA.
Vision: All forms of discrimination toward children and youth with Intellectual disability and learning difficulties in Rwanda are eradicated.
Mission: To improve the life conditions of children/young people with intellectual disability/learning difficulties in Kigali City.

Job Descriptions: A Physiotherapist
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of the children with intellectual physical disabilities, and other forms of disabilities as they arrive.
- Evaluate patients’ physical condition, medical history, and movement patterns to determine the appropriate treatment plan
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for children who come at Izere Mubyeyi for rehabilitation services.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on how to manage their condition and prevent further complication.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and nurses, to enhance learning for the betterment of the child in need of the services.
- Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress carry out community outreaches as needed.
- Community and family’s education to raise awareness about disabilities and how to support those children with disabilities by tackling stigma and other stereotypes
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Accomplish other tasks assigned by his supervisor
Preferred Qualifications:
- A0 Certificate in Physiotherapy or related field
- Has minimum 1 years of experience in this field
- Licensure or registration as a physiotherapist in the relevant jurisdiction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare providers
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Good knowledge in word, excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda
